  • On-Grid Solar: Reduce your energy bills with solar panels tied to the grid
  • Off-Grid Solar: Live independently with a fully off-grid solar solution

Each option is designed to give you flexibility while ensuring the integrity and performance of your CABN.

WHAT'S NOT INCLUDED?

The CABN building envelope is the core of your home — but there are additional steps and costs required to complete your build. These can vary depending on your site and project scope.

Not included in this purchase:

  • Site acquisition and land costs
  • Site preparation (clearing, grading, access roads, etc.)
  • Foundation and footings
  • Permits, surveys, and any municipal fees
  • Interior finishes (drywall, flooring, cabinetry, fixtures, etc.)
  • Exterior finishing (decking, landscaping, etc.)
  • Mechanical systems (heating, cooling, ventilation)
  • Electrical and plumbing systems
  • On-site installation and assembly
  • Cladding, roof, solar if not selected as part of the CABN package

As a general guide, the high-performance building envelope typically represents about one-third of the total cost of the completed home. We're here to support you in understanding the full scope and helping you connect with trusted builders and professionals as needed.

Confirmation & Contract

At checkout, you can request alternate payment methods — this connects you with our sales team to complete the purchase and finalize any additional details. After checkout, you’ll receive a detailed contract and invoice outlining your scope of work.

Milestone-Based Payments

We invoice based on key project milestones — including design, fabrication, procurement, and delivery — so you can track progress every step of the way.

Dedicated Project Manager

You’ll be paired with a project manager who will support your build, answer questions, and coordinate timelines.

Material Collaboration

Want to personalize your CABN? We offer upgrade options and collaborative material selections for things like cladding and solar systems.

Builder Coordination

You’ll need to work with a local builder to manage site prep, foundation, installation, and finishing. If you don’t already have one, we can help — depending on your location, our CABN Builder Network may be available to support the erection of your building envelope.
